With all the movement in the NBA, it should come as no surprise that after a decade there are very few players on the same team that drafted them. But Devin Booker is the only member of the 2015 draft class to still be with the one that called his name.

Booker was chosen thirteenth overall by the Phoenix Suns, and he has been in The Valley ever since. Through ups and downs, an NBA Finals run in 2021, he is the Suns longest tenured player.

Phoenix tried to build around him, bringing in Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, but both are now gone, proving Booker is indeed the cornerstone of the franchise.

The 2015 NBA Draft class also included Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, Kristaps Porzingis, and Miles Turner.

Until July 7, Turner had also been with only one team — the Indiana Pacers. After winning some key games in clutch time throughout the post season and knocking off some favored teams, the Pacers came up short in the Finals this summer. Tyrese Halliburton endured a major injury. Turner signed with Milwaukee this offseason, leaving Booker as the sole active member of the draft class to have been on the same team.

Additionally, Trey Lyles, Cameron Payne, Kelly Oubre, Jr., Terry Rozier, Bobby Portis, Tyus Jones, Larry Nance, Jr., Kevon Looney, Pat Connaughton, and Norman Powell are all still active after a decade in the league.

Norman Powell, drafted 46th, is the lowest drafted active player from the class.

Sixteen of the 2015 draftees (including both Spurs picks Nikola Milutinov and Cady Lalanne) never played an official NBA game.

But of 2015’s fifteen active NBA players, the sixteen who never got a shot, and the twenty-nine who have moved on to overseas ball, G-League, coaching, or retirement, only Booker has maintained the same mailing address.
